Spargonet Consulting plc has over 25 years history in the IT market place. Customers and staff have remained loyal throughout this time because of the commitment and quality of service the company delivers to its customers and employees.
1978 – Tony Spargo started the European consulting arm of Informatics in the UK. Prior to this Tony was employed as an Account Manager by Informatics in the US.
1988 – Sterling Software, a products company, decided to buy Informatics for their extensive “Blue Chip” client base. At the time Sterling Software was one of the largest players around (they were acquired for $3.4 billion in 2000 by Computer Associates). Sterling Software were focused on software and therefore sold the Consulting arm of Informatics.
1989 – The consulting arm having been sold, Tony Spargo and Bob Morton founded Spargo Consulting Plc.In doing so, many of the staff, including Ian Chandler, who joined Informatics in 1978, returned to work for Spargo Consulting Plc.
1998 – In less than ten years, Spargo Consulting had a full listing on the London Stock Exchange and had become a well respected company within the industry. It had £13.1 million in sales, £3 million in profit and £5 million in the bank.
May 1998 – Looking to expand in the UK, Computer Horizons Corporation International (CHC) purchased Spargo
Consulting for £41 million.
March 2000 – Tony Spargo and Bob Morton founded a new business, Spargonet Consulting Plc, Again, many staff, including senior managers, and clients, who had been with Informatics/Spargo Plc from the beginning, returned to work at Spargonet Consulting Plc.
2006 – Since being established Spargonet Consulting has grown consistently. This growth has been founded on providing high quality services and developing longstanding relationships with clients.
The management team is the same team that has been successful for over 25 years.
