CPC (Co-operative Patient Care) is a specialist unit, set up within Merck Sharpe and Dohme (MSD) to develop the patient care applications for clinical decision support and electronic auditing services. The department is staffed by a highly integrated team of MSD business, management, clinical and Spargonet development personnel. The aim is to build diagnosis systems. The development approach is highly experimental with necessarily loose (and frequently changing) requirements. Nevertheless, the products are produced as more orthodox commercial packages.
The projects commenced in 1997 with initial pilots and prototypes. The nature of the systems were leading edge and as such business and commercially confidential. In the main stages of initial development, eight staff were assigned to the project. The staff ranged from analysts through to developers and testers. Spargonet have now increased our services to MSD to incorporate a wide remit based on our success in delivery to CPC and are in our twelfth year.
We currently provide:
The applications cover from Academy Booking, Purchasing, Finance through to Doctor Diagnosis Assistance. Spargonet perceive this as a Win-Win relationship which has spanned over twelve years and continues to go from strength-to-strength
