
Since 2003 this organisation acquired and merged with a number of logistics companies to confirm its position as a leading player within the global logistics sector. Crucial to the success of the mergers and the business as a whole was the ability to continue to provide the same excellent level of service but using the strength of the expanded organisation. This meant integrating systems together without disrupting the existing levels of service expected by the business and demanded by the customers. The senior IT Managers decided to supplement their own IT capabilities by working with a small group of flexible IT Services Partners.
In 2003 Spargonet was given the opportunity to provide some IBM mainframe Cobol programming resource to supplement the clients own project teams. This initial engagement was considered a great success and as knowledge and understanding of the client’s business environment and ways of working grew, Spargonet was given the opportunity to take on more work.

The relationship with Spargonet has gone from strength to strength with increasing amounts of responsibility being passed to Spargonet. We now have people based in Prague and the UK and work to a 3 year service agreement for consultancy and project work. We are currently providing Project Manages and Consultants including solutions architects. Our respective management teams have built a relationship based on trust and value for money. Our technical staff are regarded as a seamless extension to the clients own IT department.
